Time Out for Some Random Facts

Note: A brief time out from the Adventures of Baby Zeina, for something a little different. My cousin, Kellie, "tagged" me from her blog to write seven random things about myself. Some of these I bet you never would have guessed.

So, here I go:

1. I LOVE Britney Spears! I like her music and think she is adorable. I know, I know. Her lifestyle has been a bit off lately, but I am rooting for her to get back on track. Plus, we have the same birthday, December 2!

2. From the beginning of my pregnancy, I always felt my daughter would be a Sagittarius, like me. I know. This one sounds crazy too, especially since my due date was January 25. The entire time I was pregnant, I just felt like she would have the same Zodiac sign as me, and she does. Which, leads me to my next fact...

3. I am very superstitious and think everything happens for a reason! For example, if a black cat walks in front of our car, I will beg and plead with George to turn around and go the other way. And, since "everything happens for a reason", I find it interesting that we found out I was pregnant on the anniversary of my daddy's death, my mother-in-law just happened to be in Houston so we were able to share the news in person, my "official" due date was on my father-in-law's birthday, my water broke on my sister-in-law's 30th birthday (while we were out to dinner with her), Baby Zeina was born in November which is the same month of the two women that she is named for (George's sister and my grandmother) and Baby Z shares my Zodiac sign. Hmmmm....I'm not sure how to explain the fact that the Little Zeina looks just like George and I struggle to find anything of me in her!

4. I have been to several war zones (some during and some right after the conflict): Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Serbia, Albania and Macedonia.

5. My Daddy is still my hero! It's been 10 years since he passed away this May and he is still the person I look up to the most. He was featured this week on FOX Sports Southwest about what was happening in sports 10 years ago at this time. It warmed my heart that others must have been thinking about him too!

6. I eat almost anything. Seriously, there is not much I don't like. As a child my parents used to call me Mikey. Remember that commercial, give it to Mikey; he likes it!

7. I really want a career change! I loved my career in public relations AND I love staying home with Baby Zeina, but I recognize that when she is a little older I am going to need to work at least a few days a week. Any thoughts or ideas about what I could do? I'm wide open to try something new.
