Ladies Night Out

Last night I attended a Saudi Ladies function and had a GREAT time! This picture was taken at home before I went as there could be no photos taken at the event. And trust me, what I have on was considered VERY conservative. Women were dressed quite elegant with all of the latest fashions! Everyone was dressed in cocktail attire, there was a live band (all women) and a wonderful dinner. I was one of the first women to leave around 1 a.m. and the dance floor was still packed with ladies. It was a lot of fun to visit with the Saudi women in an open, warm environment. There were many teenage girls that attended the party with their moms and aunts. I was invited to dance and took advantage of the hospitality and tried my best not to look like a fool. All of the ladies were very encouraging and supportive. A smile, kiss and handshake cross all cultures. It is a big world out there and I feel so lucky to be able to experience "another way of doing things."
