A Night at the Hospital

As I lied in the bed next to Zeina at the hospital last night, I realized what a special gift from God a child is. All I could think about was I wanted Z to feel better so she could come home with me. There is a wicked stomach virus making its way through our compound and Zeina got it. She couldn't keep anything down and ended up being dehydrated. This happens a lot here. It is HOT. At one point yesterday, the temperature gage in my car read 114 degrees.

So, my angel spent the night in the hospital hooked up to IV fluids for eight hours. I lied next to her feeling useless. Until, I was awakened to Zeina stroking my hair and saying, "Mama, Mama." Then, she smiled at me and went back to sleep.

Little Z is home now and on the road to recovery, but it was a LONG night for all three of us.

I am so sorry to hear that little Z was in the hospital!!!!! But happy to hear that she is home and resting. I know it is scary, my heart goes out to you and George. I've been there.

Be strong!

Bless her heart! It is so tough when the little ones are under the weather! You take such good care of her! She is very lucky to have you as her mommy!

Oh, I teared up reading that. Poor kiddo. She sounds as strong as her momma, though.
