Introducing Fulla...

Zeina LOVES her Fulla purse and takes it everywhere we go (it even went to France and the USA this past summer). She received it as a gift from the employee association shortly after we arrived in Kingdom almost a year ago.

You may be asking, 'Who is Fulla?' Well, she is the counterpart to the Western Barbie and one of the most popular toys in the Middle East!

Since it is not easy to locate Barbie dolls in Saudi Arabia (Barbie does not live up to the moral standards here in the Kingdom), Fulla is available for parents to purchase for young girls. Fulla is dressed very modestly in a long sleeved ankle length dress and hijab (head covering). While the Fulla doll has blue eyes, she has long black hair under her hijab and some even come with their own mini prayer rug.
