Weekend at Hawar Island

We spent the weekend at The Hawar Resort. The hotel is located on a small island off of Bahrain's mainland. The island is owned by Bahrain, but is much closer in distance to Qatar. Even though Little Z is still recovering from a nasty virus, we were able to find enough indoor activities during the heat of the day to keep her entertained. Z enjoyed the toddler play room, the organized games for kids, the magician, henna lady and the beach and pool, of course.

The weekend was sponsored by the Saudi Aramco Employee Association, so we traveled with 40 Aramco families. Everyone has lots of kids so Little Z had plenty of playmates.

George and I enjoyed the pool, water slides, beach and the LAGOON BAR.

Here is Zeina telling us that she is ready for some beach play. That finger tells us everything we need to know, there is no guessing with what she wants. EVER.

Greetings, Wendy! Kerns and I (Fitz) are sitting here recovering from a girls weekend in Austin and sippin' coffee. It has been a great weekend and we would have loved the addition of YOU!

Present were: Chapman, Missy, Tracy, Alex, Amy Bates, Camilla, Kerns and myself. Great group of gals! We've gone out on Chapman's boat and spent the day on Lake Austin, followed by dinner at the trashiest place in town -- Carlos and Charlies. Oh well, love the one your with and forget where you are.

Zeina is just precious and we enjoyed getting caught up on your life. Sounds like you are enjoying the transition to full-time mommyhood. Good for you!

Must go now and getting ready for our last brunch together before we all hit the road and the airways to head back home.

It has been fun catching up with everyone, and we all agree that we look better NOW than 15 years ago!!! Ha!

Take care -- Elizabeth
