Goodbye 2008...Hello 2009!
As we usher in the New Year, I am so thankful for the many blessings of 2008. Our first full year in Saudi Arabia proved to be a mystical, magic carpet ride full of adventure. We continue to feel good about our decision to take the opportunity and move overseas. It has been an enriching experience for our family and I really feel like "it is the three of us against the world."
I can truly say, "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!"
So, as we say goodbye to 2008 and welcome 2009, I am leaving you with some resolutions for the New Year.
- Organize my guest bedroom closet. It is the place that I "stuff" everything that I have no idea where to put in our house.
- Make good decisions about my health. I want to further research hypothyroidism and find solutions that will keep me in good shape. (I am not trying to turn into a stick figure, but want to come up with some applicable lifestyle changes that will be good for me). I have no magic number on the scale that I want to lose. I just want to feel and look better.
- Commit myself to learning Arabic. I've played around in the past, but really want to engage in using the language. I am starting the year in a new class and am hopeful about making progress.
- Share my love of sports with Little Zeina by discovering what outside sports activities peak her interest.
- Reach out to the people I love and let them know how special they are to me. I want to do this in any form -- electronic, cards, mail, gifts, etc.
From our family to you, we wish everyone a happy, healthy and safe new year!
