Valentine Stories!

Zeina surprised "Daddy" by making him a heart shaped cookie cake for Valentine's Day. We had a good time working together on his "present". And, as you can see from the photos, Zeina is very proud of her work. Little Z stirred the dough, helped spread it in the cake pan, and, of course, spent a great deal of time placing the sprinkles on the cookie cake.

For those of you that haven't seen Z in awhile she is talking up a storm. And, she is not afraid to make her opinion known. So while baking together, Zeina and I had an interesting conversation that went something like this:

"Mommy, stop touching," shouted Zeina.

To which I replied, "Zeina, Mommy is only trying to help. You are being very bossy."

"Mommy, no touching," reiterated Zeina.

Then I said, "Zeina you are not the boss of Mommy. Mommy is the boss."

Zeina stopped spreading the dough in the pan and put her finger in the air and said, "No, no, no Mommy. Daddy is the boss!"

I had no reply to this statement, but to laugh!

George and I went with three other couples to Bahrain to celebrate Valentine's Day! Here is a picture of us at dinner (early in the evening at a nice restaurant). Later (like 1 a.m.) in the evening, while at a honkytonk (seriously, it was like being in Texas), I gave a great dance performance while the other three ladies in our group performed karoke. I won't be posting the video that George took of me!
