Weekend Trip to the Mall

Thursdays and Fridays are our weekends here in Saudi Arabia. George doesn't work and we get to spend time as a family. So, on Thursday (our Saturday) we decided to venture off our compund and go to one of the malls in Dhahran.

And, yes, I am wearing my abaya in this picture taken with Zeina before we left our house. I am not required to cover my head, but if we leave our compound I do have to wear the abaya.

The mall was amazing! It was about the size of the Galleria in Houston and full of pretty good stores for shopping. The only problem I had was that you can't try on clothes. Most, if not all, stores do not have dressing rooms. You have to purchase what you want and then go home and try on your items. So, the clothes that do not fit, you must return. Oh well, that just means I get to go back to the mall for more shopping!
