New Set of Wheels

We are officially the owners of a 2008 white Ford Expedition. It is a large, safe vehicle. And, yes, I do feel a bit like a soccer mom driving around the camp. A substantial size car is necessary here in Saudi Arabia as the roads are quite dangerous. They are good quality, large roads. It is the drivers that are CRAZY here, so a large vehicle is necessary in case of any kind of accident. I have never seen people drive so fast and swerve through four lanes to make a quick turn.

And, yes, we did get a DVD player. Anyone that doesn't understand the need for this has never had to wait several hours to make it through the Saudi/Bahrain customs, immigrations and police checkpoints. The DVD is a welcome distraction to a bored one-year old!

Congratulations on a wise choice. Aleisha and I fully understand the need for the DVD. With two boys on the long trips between her home in Richardson and her grandmother's home in Jackson, the DVD and VCR saved our sanity on more than one occassion!!!
Drive safely!
