First Time Voter

Since George became a US citizen a little more than a year ago, this is the first election he is eligible to vote in. Earlier in the Fall, we requested our absentee ballots and received them in the mail two weeks ago. Tonight, we filled in our selections and tomorrow I'll head over to the DHL office and mail them in. They will arrive in Houston on Friday.

I will certainly miss going to my voting location and participating in the process on election day. When I cast my vote, I always get a sense of pride for my country and the feeling that I am contributing to history.

Simply said, I am proud to be an American.
