The Adventures of Baby Zeina

Because...

I love
Zeina so much!
I baked this heart-shaped cake today!
Anybody that knows me is well aware that I hate to cook, bake or do anything in the kitchen for that matter. Cooking does not define me as a women, wife or mother. I don't find the pleasure in it all. Although, I do enjoy being a hostess and entertaining. I am lucky as we live in an artificial world here at Aramco and we can go to the dining hall for breakfast, lunch and dinner if we want. And, the food is good! Plus, getting something catered here is super easy.
While I may not enjoy the kitchen, for my daughter I will do anything.
So, since she is turning one next week, I am practicing baking a few items. We'll take cupcakes and have a mini-birthday celebration at our playgroup next Sunday and I need to make sure what I bring is edible for all of the children.

Ok Wendy, while I can bake very well actually, I don't bake my kids birthday cakes. I call my cake lady to do that. I am impressed that you are going to do her cake yourself. I have a magnet with a motto that I live by. It says..."Anything worth doing is worth hiring someone else to do it." I am proud of you for practicing. I don't know that I would have done that. You are a great Mom to Zeina. I could learn a few things from you.
