This is Our Street
It is where we walk with Zeina in her stroller in the afternoons. It is where George waits for the bus to go to work. And, where we visit with our neighbors on the weekends. It is also where I chatted with the man that must be almost 60 that fixed our telephone problem this afternoon. He asked how many children I had. I replied one. He shared with me that he has 10 kids ranging in age from 38 to six months old. He asked if I wanted more children and I replied that I wasn't sure. He asked if my husband wanted more children and I said maybe.
He told me he had two wives and at one time three. The third one didn't work out.
He told me that my husband could get another wife if he wanted more children.
And, it was on this street that I looked him in the eye and told him that I was more than enough for my husband.
And, then I went back inside.
