Balls, Balls, Balls!
Zeina LOVES everything about balls! This picture was taken a few weeks ago at the mall, in the kids fun area, at a birthday party for her friend, Sean. The balls that Zeina is playing in is what you get to jump into after you climb, slide and bounce through a soft jungle gym maze. When Little Z saw the balls she demanded to go through the activity. While the maze is designed for three year olds and above, the attendant said she could participate if I went with her. Ok. You folks know what this maze is. It is one of those things kids go through at Chuck E. Cheese's. Now, remember we are in Saudi Arabia and I am wearing an ABAYA with yoga pants and a tank top underneath it. So, essentially, I had to climb, slide and bounce while wearing a long robe. I was hot and exhausted when we finished.
Zeina, on the other hand, thought it was just GREAT and threw a tantrum when we told her it was time to get out of the balls. She simply would not leave the balls. She moved to the corner of the balls and made it clear she wasn't leaving without a fight. This meant that I had to jump into the balls, pick her up and push her back into the maze. You see, there was one way in and one way out, so we had to re-do the entire thing! Again, I am wearing a robe and dealing with Zeina who DOES NOT want to get out of the balls or the maze.
She did perk up a bit when she saw her Daddy at the end of the slide as we were exiting the jungle gym.

Hey Wendy!
I have been reading your blog off and on for the past year or so and you are doing such a great job! Baby Z is growing up so fast...she is such a doll. I loved the post about your Dad. You two had such a special relationship. I know you miss him so much.
Anyway, I am so pleased to read how well things are going for you and your family on your overseas adventure!
If you are in town for a while for Christmas, I would love to see you. I am pregnant again (this time with a boy...YIKES) and due in September. Mary Kate is precious as always...so independent!
Take care of yourself and I just wanted to drop a little note to tell you "hello" and let you know I am thinking of you.
